River Sands supplies sand to the new Metricon Stadium
River Sands recently supplied 11,200 tonnes of turf sand for the new Metricon Stadium on the Gold Coast.
The world class stadium is home to the Gold Coast Suns football team and seats 25,000 spectators.
Our specialised USGA graded top dressing sand was utilised as a root zone application under the turf on both the main and practice ovals at the ground.
Our USGA approved turf sand is the ideal medium for allowing moisture and nutrients to continuously reach the roots, without drowning them.
River Sands top dressing sand has also been utilised at Skilled Park Stadium on the Gold Coast (home of the NRL Titans) as well as Brisbane's Suncorp Stadium and the Gabba.

Quartzon Chosen to Renovate flooded Southbank Waterpark
Quartzon Golden Star and Royal Blue pool interior renders were recently chosen to resurface Brisbane Southbank's Pool and Children's Aquativity Water Park.
The pool, which sustained major structural damage in the floods, had been resurfaced with Quartzon five years ago, and project managers chose Quartzon again due to the colourful, smooth and slip resistant characteristics it offers.
Quartzon Golden Star was used for the beach lagoon section of the pool while the richness of Quartzon's Royal Blue provided vivid colour, detail and interest in the Children's Aquativity area.
