January 2009 – River Sands’ ACS division launch new concrete admixtures specifically designed for mining applications.
Applied Concrete Solutions (ACS) is the specialty construction and mining products division of River Sands Pty Ltd.
Utilising the company’s experience and knowledge of concrete and concrete admixtures, the division has been formed to provide a specialised range of technical services and products associated with the application, performance, maintenance and enhancement of concrete.
These specialist services and products now include a range of new generation shotcrete admixtures designed specifically for underground mining operations.
Shotcrete Accelerators
ACS have developed a range of high performance, alkali free shotcretes for underground mine construction including shaft lining.
Where early re-entry is required, ACS Shotcrete Accelerators can be stored in on-site bulk tanks thereby eliminating the need for IBC’s.
Shotcrete Admixtures
To assist with the batching process of shotcrete for underground applications, ACS have a selection of high range water reducers, stabilisers, mix enhancers and pumping aids.
Our liquid shotcrete admixtures offer high strength, improved workability and extended slump retention capabilities.
Dry Shotcrete, Gunite and Grouts
To assist with your underground shoring requirements ACS offers a made to specification ‘mines’ concrete, shotcrete or mortar formulated to your specifications and packed in convenient 20kg or 30kg bags.

August 2008 – CCS offers Thermal Roof Coating Systems to complement CCS colours for driveways.

Feb 2008 - River Sands Purchases Acrylic Coatings Australia
River Sands has purchased local render and textured coatings manufacturer, Acrylic Coatings Australia and has relaunched the business as Render Systems Australia. Utilising our knowledge of cement based products and coatings, together with ACA’s 15 years of experience within the render industry we will be launching a new and complete range of products for the Solid Plasterer.
With the back up of our technical chemists who are specialists in blending cement based products and additives, and our fully certified NATA laboratory, the Render Systems Australia Division have come up with some exciting product enhancements.
